Blue Mountain Beach is the highest point on the Gulf of Mexico. The beach neighborhood gets its name from the blue lupine flowers that grow along the coast. Blue Mountain has a bit of it all. There are beach cottages still standing from the 1960s mixed in with brand new state of the art homes. The focus here is more on the beach, but a growing number of restaurants and shops are popping up in Blue Mountain.
If you are in Blue Mountain, you are a quick walk or bike ride away from a number of places. If you need more activity then Gulf Place offers just that a little ways to the west while Grayton Beach and Seaside are a few miles to the east. Afterwards head back to Blue Mountain for a little more laid back vibe just in time to catch sunset.
