The Original Idyllic Beachside Town

Welcome to Seaside

Seaside is and has always been a favorite destination on the Gulf Coast of Florida. It is the birthplace of the New Urbanism movement that celebrates walkable towns, mixed use buildings and varying types of housing all within a defined area. The amphitheater is the heart of Seaside and is host to events throughout the year.

Surrounding the amphitheater are numerous restaurants and shops, a book and record store, a boutique grocery store and the much photographed Seaside Post Office. Numerous private beach walkovers are scattered along the beachside of Seaside. People visit from across they country to tour the town and get a feel for the style of town that was created. The movie "The Truman Show" was about life in the idyllic beachside community and Seaside was the community they based the movie on. On sunny days the amphitheater is full of kids playing games while parents look on.

The town circle is typically littered with bikes as families bike from neighboring areas to enjoy all that Seaside has to offer. No trip to 30A is complete without a stop in Seaside. Seaside's official motto is "A Simple, Beautiful Life." We agree.
